Jackets - Flexable Mats
Flexible insulation jackets (mats) are pieces of insulation incased inside hi-temperature textile materials. We machine sewn these together enclosing the insulation inside the material using our industrial sewing machines. We can sew any shape and size for your application and have great fastening options available ready for easy installation and even easier removal.
Insulation jackets (mats) are used when an area requires insulation and conventional means of installing insulation are not achievable due to obstructions, a complicated shape of parts, or just ease of access to an area.
Think of a Pillow, the cushion on the inside would be the insulation and the pillow case on the outside would be the protective heat resistant material. Once sewn, these mats can be applied to any surface for instant insulation access. They are very simple to install and remove being held in place using different types of fasteners specific to the application.
For example, a common use is for insulating: valves, flanges, or bellows, plus many, many more. See illustrated in photos below.
What applications can I use them for?
Flexible insulation mats can be used inside or outside open to the weather. They are super durable and can be made from many different materials and insulation to suite the application. They can be fit to area at heat temps from 10 deg C. to above 1000 deg C.
- Tight areas where it is not possible to get other insulation and cladding cover.
- Unusual sizes and shapes
- Areas that need access – insulation mats are easy to lace up and remove and allow immediate access without calling an industrial insulator to remove fixed metal cladding.
- Neat and tidy
Pipes, Turbos, Catalytic Convertors, Bellows, Valves & Flanges, Flexible Pipes, Truck bottoms, Pipes, Man Hatches, Tank legs, mufflers and exhausts, vessels, etc.
